Daily life in Nepal

The views of the Himalayas are spectacular this time of year.

In Nepal, it would be nice if the vegetables were labeled and clean, but daily life in Nepal does not allow for that. The vegetables are sold on the street and are very, very dirty. Sometimes I don't even know what they are and don't even know how to ask what I am looking for, so I guess. I can't tell you how many times I have bought zucchini thinking it was cucumber or vice versa. The fruit as well is sold the same way. We usually buy from the same shop owner so we get a friendly smile when we walk up. The worst part is digging through the sack of potatoes or tomatoes because your hands are filthy afterwards.
